Soft Faces

I recently fell in love with Black Tea Instant Perfecting Mask from Fresh.

According to their website:
BLACK TEA INSTANT PERFECTING MASK is an intense hydrating treatment that immediately reveals softer, more supple, and younger-looking skin. This skin perfecting formula was scientifically proven to have a significant moisturizing effect 6 hours after the mask is rinsed from the skin surface*! Additionally, it was tested by a consumer-testing panel under dermatological control and was proven to**: - firm the complexion - improve skin elasticity - leave skin feeling velvety, soft and smooth - leave skin looking resilient and radiant - smoothe the texture of the skin & decrease skin roughness

And let me tell you, it did!!
After dermaplaning my face, I applied a liberal layer to my face and let it absorb all in - and my skin must have needed the moisture because it ate it all up. It is also the most luxurious feeling mask - you feel like you are having a real spa treatment in your own bathroom.
I rinsed it off with a little water, as I wanted to keep as much of it on as possible all night.
The next day my skin was so touchable soft, firmed and just radiant!
I have used it twice and cannot wait to try anything more by Fresh. I also tried their Rose Face Mask and obviously loved it.  So the whole line keeps taunting me!

Hair Straigheners

I am on the market for a new flat iron.
I have curly, thin, weak and color processed hair. I currently use the original CHI and had the CHI turbo for awhile,
and could never figure out why my hair never looked quite right.
Apparently my hair agree's much more with the original CHI, so I switched back. However, there is an issue with the plug
on the original CHI, so it may not last much longer (it's been like 7 years!)

I want a ceramic iron, with tourmaline (or some of some other technology), and raised heat plates and with curved sides.

But I want it to work, but I am cheap. I have seen some decently priced of those GVP's and IONs at Sallys for like $60

Maly's has BabyBliss and HAI - but those are like $90 - $130

Any vendors out there with any products out there that want their wonderful hair tool written about? hah.

OPI Holiday in Toyland

While shopping in my local professional store, I came across the new OPI collection -  Holiday In Toyland.
I have been looking for some classy, sexy but fun red's for awhile now and I finally found them!
I first picked up the 'Rosy Mistletoe-sies' but stood there for a good 10 minutes debating between that one and a few of the others. They were all so perfect I couldn't decide.
Rosy Mistletoe-Sies has been on my feet and hands for two weeks now and I couldn't love it anymore.  This collection comes with the Pro-Wide brush, which makes application a breeze.
After my initial visit to the store I had to go back and pick up 'Little Red Wagon' and a 'Ruby for Rudolph'.
'Baby It's Coal Outside' keeps invading my thoughts also. So I might have to make another visit to the store soon.
I haven't seen this collection outside of a pro store yet, so keep your eyes open for it!  It comes in a super cute display also!

MD SkinCare: Alpha Beta Daily Face Peel

One of my favorite lines out there is MD Skincare - by Dr. Dennis Gross.
MD Skincare is available at Sephora, Ulta, Nordstroms and online at MDSkincare.com.

Their banner product and the one I have had the most success with is their Alpha-Beta Daily Face Peel

According to their website:
Benefits:
  • Instantly helps firm skin and eliminate dullness revealing a luminous look all day long
  • Gently helps treat large pores and calms redness with soothing botanicals
  • Patented two-step technology - two minutes for radiant skin for all skin types
  • Provides microexfoliation without recovery time
  • Also available in convenient, individual packettes for treatment on-the-go
It contains:
Step 1: Glycolic Acid, Lactic Acid, Malic Acid, Salicylic Acid, Genistein, Chamomile Extract, Green Tea
Step 2: Green Tea Extract, Phospholipids, Sodium Bicarbonate, Vitamins A, C, E

Each acid works on a different level of the skin and works on a different issue. This is the only product I have ever found that has helped with my hyperpigmentation, blackheads, preventing breakouts, plumped up my fine lines and wrinkles and dramatically improved my overall skintone and redness.
I have done light chemical peels, medium depth chemical peels and microdermabrasion with no results. But now I have it, in a easy to use 2 minute treatment! To make it even better, there is enough li quid on the pads to do my face, neck, chest and upper shoulders!

Priced at $75.00 for 30 applications and $125.00 for 60 applications, it might seem steep. But very much worth it! A MicroPeel (microdermabrasion and chemical peel) at a Medical Spa will run over $100 for ONE visit. This I have found to be much more effective and much less abrasive with no downtime.
